Mikhail Byvshikh was born in the city of Balakovo in the Saratov region. Silver medalist of the Youth Delphic Games of Russia and the CIS in the nomination of arts and crafts, as well as a participant and winner of other competitions and festivals. Laureate of the Russian Presidential Prize. In 2017, he received the title of "People's Master of the Altai Territory".
Mikhail lives and works in Barnaul (Altai Territory). But due to the nature of his work, he travels a lot and conducts his own master classes throughout Russia.
Now Mikhail owns his own school of pottery, where he professionally teaches people this ancient craft.
At the beginning of his career, Mikhail worked exclusively in the Russian folk ceramic tradition. But soon he felt cramped in this direction. He mastered interior ceramics, projects for inlaying furniture, fireplace tiles appeared, and learned to independently prepare glazes. In September 2019, Mikhail Byvshikh took part in the international festival Dalla Terra all’Arte in San Lorenzello (Italy). For the first time in the history of the festival, its organizer, Honored Artist of Italy Elvio Saniella, invited a Russian potter to participate. In addition to teaching and educational activities, Mikhail also collaborates with some famous Moscow restaurants and makes designer tableware, various interior and decorative items for them.
